We used the delay to implement a few new features which I am sure you will like a lot.
1. USB connection cable
On PC/ PS3 you now have the option to choose between a wired or a wireless connection. This feature is standard on all versions of the wheel.
(If you now consider to cancel the order of your wireless dongle you are free to do so but please note that you need to cancel the complete order and reorder again due to technichal reasons.)
2. DriftMode
We now have the driftmode implemented into firmware so you can use it also on the consoles without the driver
3. ABS vibration
In the firmware you can choose a percentage of brake force on which the vibration motors of the wheel and the CSP will be activated. This helps you to find the optimal brake force easily. Compatible to all games on all platforms!

Was Shipped The wrong wheel. Ordered and paid for a club sport edition. When i get home i find out that i was shipped the pure edition (no shifters etc). i waited 2 months to get the wrong order. and trying to find customer support isn't working. who do i need to call or email to get this straightened out?? any advice. im missing the 6 - 1 shifter, sequential shifter and rf dongle.

wow thats realy impressive, just ordered the gt3rs, i might have to get this as well, i wonder how the abs thing is gonna work, just thinking that when you come to a full stop i keeps vibrating or what? havent been in a real car for so long that i cant even remember what it felt like, but i guess that you ease on the brake natualy when it comes to a stop, so the abs stops, do you still need to set the date back on ps3? and will any of the new features/compatibility find its way to the other wheels in a firmware update, mostly thinking about the date issue, not that its that big of a deal.

and im wondering when using shifter and clutch, i saw that you used the shifter without clutch, is there an option to throw it in to n or stop if you forget to press the clutch, again its been so long since i have been in a car, but dosent a car stop when you forget to press the clutch, must sound great in a porsche;-)

It will stop vibrating if you release the brake to a level below the pint you have selected (e.g. 85%). We will add this fucntion for the GT3RS with an upcoming driver update.
You will not need to set back the system date on PS3 anymore.

Thomas, does wired headset work with this wheel like it does with the Microsoft wheel? I use TurtleBeach X41 headset and for in game chat I need to plug in to the controller.
It works with the "new"
It works with the "new" style wired headsets that have the standard 2.5mm jack, not the old style that use the puck with volume control on it.
I don't have the X41s, but I do have the X4s and they won't work. They have the old style connector, and you can't simply use an adapter them, because they actually require power from that port on the 360 controller. :(

Na, wir können ja gerne unsere Bestellungen tauschen (ich hatte aus Kostengründen vorerst nur die "Pure Edition" geordert), aber ich meine, dass Du bei einer so frühen Bestellung doch wohl ein super Schnäppchen gemacht hast, um das Dich alle anderen hier (sofern sie dieser deutschsprachigen Diskussion folgen können) beneiden (inklusive meiner Person).
Mit anderen Worten: Du bekommst Dein (um ein kostenloses Extra erweiterte) Lenkrad (relativ) früh, hast für das komplette Set (ich gehe mal davon aus, dass Du das Set bestellt hast) einen grandiosen Preis gezahlt (egal ob Du das RF-Dongle nach Erhalt Deiner Bestellung wieder irgendwo verkaufst oder aber es behältst) und kannst als erster Forza 3 mit dem Wheel geniessen - ich finde nicht, dass man sich deswegen in einem solchen Ton beschweren sollte.
Die Tatsache dass Fanatec dieses Feature (zumindest für die zahlreichen Vorbesteller) kostenlos implementiert hat zeigt meines Erachtens, dass man nicht einfach nur auf die Kohle aus ist, sondern dabei auch die Spieler und deren Wünsche im Hinterkopf behält. Das ist NICHT selbstverständlich.

I have a question or two about mounting...
1) I can still bolt this wheel directly to my PlaySeat race seat using the drilling template I downloaded and printed can't I?
2) How is the club sport pedals mounted and have you done any testing with the PlaySeat mounting? Or do you have any recommendations on possible mounting options? Is there a drilling template for the club sport Pedals too?
3) Is the shifter cable long enough route along the race seat frame and allow me to mount the shifter to my optional PlaySeat shifter mount adapter located on the side of my seat.
4) How will I mount the shifter to the plate on the optional PlaySeat shifter mount on my PlaySeat race seat. Are there mounting holes on the bottom of the shifter and a drilling template for the shifter just like the one for the wheel?

Are you planning/willing to provide an optional cutting/e-brake pod? Will you be supporting an external input for me to adapt an e-brake switch and pod of my own design? It would be a simple on/off two wire micro-switch activated by an arm fashioned like an E-brake in a real car.
