PWTS UPS advanced shipment offer

Due to several requests from customers we would like to make the offer for all customers to ship the wheel directly from the chinese factory by UPS or Fedex express to your door. This should take only 4 days instead of 4-6 weeks.

  • This option is available to all customers in EU and USA
  • It costs150 USD per wheel independent what wheel has been ordered
  • Payment ONLY possible with Paypal
  • You need to send a special email to info[at]911wheel.com (replace [at] with @) with the following content:

    Header: PWTS advanced shipment
    Text:
Please send my Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel by advanced shipment.
    Order nr
    Name
    Email

  • This is a limited offer from today until Oct 12th
  • We do not guarantee any arrival dates. We just make sure that you get the wheels earlier than with normal shipment by boat
  • The wheels with advanced shipment will by produced right after the wheels we dedicated for airfreight and go to early customers.

We will send you the payment info afterwards and a tracking nr. as soon as it has been shipped.

Can I get a clarification?

Can I get a clarification? I ordered June 8th, so I'm clearly not in the first batch. If I elect NOT to pay this extra shipping charge will my wheel still be in the next shipments, or will someone who is just ordering their wheel now but paying for the expedited shipping jump my place in line?

Your place in the PRODUCTION

Your place in the PRODUCTION line won't change (since there really isn't a "place" for you anyway, they're all the same and all made in a very short order) but since their order will ship via Air and your order will ship via Boat, they will receive their wheel several weeks before you receive yours.

It'd be like if you ordered something from Amazon with 7-day shipping today, and I ordered the same thing from Amazon 2 days from now but opted for Next-Day-Air. I'd still get it sooner even though I ordered later.

You say that, and I get

You say that, and I get that, but that isn't what this implies:

The wheels with advanced shipment will by produced right after the wheels we dedicated for airfreight and go to early customers.

That implies that those that pay for advance shipment will be the next ones to be produced, his word not mine, hence my question.

we can produce a lot of

we can produce a lot of wheels per day. Within 7 days we can assemble all wheels which have been pre-ordered so assembly will not be such a big issue once all materials are in place.

There are several users who are using this option and they placed the orders early or late. We cannot make any difference anyway.

I dont get it either. So if

I dont get it either. So if we ordered before june we will get it first? Or does the shipment for the people who ordered it before june will take 4-6 weeks? If so, you guys shipping it via air doesnt make sense.
So if I ordered it before june I don't need to pay 150$ ?
Please clear that up and not just someone who think he knows what thomas meant!
In deutsch ist auch ok, vielleicht kannst Du es ja besser in deiner muttersprache beschreiben.

Thomas has explained this

Thomas has explained this more than a few times...

1> Wheel production will begin the latter part of next week.
2> Orders before June 1st will be shipped Air Freight for free.
3> Orders after June 1st will be shipped slow-boat (4-6 weeks)
4> Those ordering after June 1st can OPT for Air service for $150 and SHOULD receive their wheels within a week from production
5> Thomas is making no guarantees on the arrival dates of the wheel if you opt for direct-to-door Air, only that it should arrive much faster than those who don't pay

Comment on point 4: As

Comment on point 4: As originally stated, anyone can opt for the $150 air shipping.

Their is a significant difference between the $150 air shipping to your door and airfreight to a distribution centre. Now airfreight method is not going to take 6 weeks, but I'd be careful is assuming it will get from China to the distribution centre and then to your door within a week as you said. The shipment *could* be waiting on customs for 2-4 days, then a couple more at the distribution centre, then a couple days for ground shipping. Maybe some will get them after 7+ days, I would imagine most would be closer to 2 weeks if all goes well for people in the US. Longer for Canada and some parts of the EU.

Paying $150 seams to be the only way to get the wheel in Canada before Forza 3's release no matter when I originally ordered it.

Well, I actually said that

Well, I actually said that anyone who pays the $150 "should" receive their wheels in as little as a week from when they're made. I made no mention of how long those who ordered before June 1st would have to wait. They will undoubtedly wait 5-10 days longer for the reasons you mentioned (or possibly more depending on location), as there's a difference between air parcel and air freight.

I was going to go into all that detail (as one with a degree in Logistics, I'm quite familiar with these sorts of problems) but didn't think anyone who ordered prior to June 1 would actually consider paying the $150 to shave 5-10 days off; and people seem confused enough as it is. But, you're correct, those in Canada in particular where UPS Ground moves like molasses in winter, may want to consider the option if they don't want to risk the chance of being without the wheel by release.

i also ordered the dongle 3

i also ordered the dongle 3 weeeks ago and got it 2 weeks ago and now I dont even need it. great, i should have ordered the shifter set instead.

Shoudn't fanatec pay I mean

Shoudn't fanatec pay I mean we are the one waiting for them? And they already got delayed 2 times!!!! how long should it take for a beta version of PTWS ship to the USA

Hi Thomas, I sent psyment to

Hi Thomas,

I sent psyment to order@fanatec.com for the advanced shipping option could you please verify that you have received my payment?

Thanks,

John Tindal

wow 150 usd is alot for

wow 150 usd is alot for shipping to get it a little earlier. Although i ordered april 18th or so... so my order will be shipped by airfreight to california then sent to me right? should i receive my wheel by the forza 3 release since i am one of the early orders? also will forza be shipped seperately when it releases or will it be shipped with the wheel and will it be the US version?

sorry i forgot to add... im

sorry i forgot to add... im just wanting to make sure that i get the wheel before forza 3 and everything. I would hate to find out that i wont get it before forza 3 in time because of people paying this shipping fee to get their orders earlier and them end up getting their orders before us because they paid extra. Like if someone pays extra to recieve it sooner and you take one of our orders thats supposed to ship to us and ship it to them instead because they payed more... we are still going to have priority over the wheels since we ordered first correct?

"The wheels with advanced

"The wheels with advanced shipment will by produced right after the wheels we dedicated for airfreight and go to early customers."

you will get yor wheel first if you ordered in april

Actually, likely he will not

Actually, likely he will not receive it first. Yes I will be produced first, but then 2 weeks shipping verse 4ish days shipping. So unless production gets delayed and takes more than 10ish days, air shipping will get the wheel quicker.

Now it may not be worth it for someone in the US as there is not a huge difference in time, but that 2 weeks for airfreight increases for people in Canada and part of the EU even if they are in the 1st batch. It could take 2+ weeks alone for basic ground shipping from Cal to Canada. Air shipping, seemly, is the only way someone in Canada will get the wheel by Forza 3's release.

o thanks i looked over that

o thanks i looked over that part... one other question will the airfreight for the early orders be 4-6 weeks shipping? i hope not because then we would not recieve it before forza release

i doubt it, probably 2

i doubt it, probably 2 weeks, 1 week to distribution and customs and 1 week ground shipping to you, so right at fm3 release.

Thomas, Thank you very much.

Great offer Thomas, it's nice to see a company respond so well to customers requests/concerns.

Is this offer open to orders shipped to Canada as well? I know it says EU and US but I though I'd ask.

PS: The youtube videos seem to be going very well. Hopefully one shows up to a user to plays iRacing as well.

Hello Thomas... Im a bit

Hello Thomas...
Im a bit confuse regarding the topic of PWTS production-update 2...you stated that :
UPDATE 2

We have the technical apporval of MS and we started the production of the electronics and semi finished components. Next week we want to start to assembly the wheels and ship them immediatly by airfreight. This is horrible expensive but only takes a few days.

So...the free airfreight for people who order & paid befor June?..or before 30th June?..Please clarify...Thanks & much appreciated...
p.s : I order & paid mine on 6th June 2009.

I am in the same way i

I am in the same way i bought mine the 5th June, and also want to know about the airfreight ?

Airfreight is for all orders

Airfreight is for all orders before June 1st

Thomas, why is cut off

Thomas, why is cut off before June 1st? when I ordered my wheel on June 2nd, the shipment date on your website was still end of June.

He has answered this many

He has answered this many times.

A cutoff had to be made. They lose money on the air freight, and it just wouldn't be sound to ship them all that way. It's a bummer that you are on the wrong side of the cutoff, but them's the breaks.

Having ordered June 2 though, you are already getting a free copy of Forza III. It isn't like your wait is going uncompensated.

Also... For the record...

When you ordered in June there is no way that the shipdate at the webstore said June, because I ordered in April, and the date was July.

Ok, so we always have the

Ok, so we always have the free copy of forza ?

The UPS shipment does not

The UPS shipment does not affect the FM3 copy
