Here is a new version of the firmware for PWTS.
Changes:
- More driftmode settings (5)
- For better cooling, the fans are turned on from the beginning at low speed and move faster when the temperature goes up.
As I said before, please upgrade only if you have problems. We do not give any warranty for update issues. So far we had not a single wheel which was screwed up after an update but if it happens, the wheel needs to be sent to us so we can repair it.
Hint: In case the update does not work, try this:
- Close down ALL other programs, drivers, etc.
- Choose a different USB port
- de-install the USB driver of the wheel in bootloader mode and install the driver again.

I'm having a very similar problem. The xb360 lights do light up when in pc mode, my computer does recognize the wheel, but I'm unable to use the H Shifter. It doesn't recognize the shifter at all. The same thing is happening in Forza 3. I can use the paddles but not the shifter.
This is not the Xbox mode.
This is not the Xbox mode. It is just an issue with the driver so it shows the Xbox symbolds. In a future update of the driver you will be able to turn off the symbols.
Will the updated driver
Will the updated driver address the non functional H shifter?
Hi Thomas! Thank you a lot
Hi Thomas! Thank you a lot for this new firmwares. The wheel now feels much better, the FF, the driftmodes, everything works perfect!
I don't know if you want some ideas, but it would be very cool to have this things in the next firmware:
- Map the Xbox Button so when you are in PS3 Mode it works like a PS Home Button. It doesn't need to make the connection to the PS3, I mean just for showing the XMB. This way there is no need to connect an extra PS3 controller to exit GT Prologue, for example, or for reading players private messages in the games.
- Fix that when you're in PS3 mode, and enter GT Prologue, using the wireless connection, it becomes PC Mode. I think it's a problem with the RF dongle, because when you enter the game it powers off and power on. I think it could be fixed be remembering in the wheel itself what mode was connected.
Sorry for my english. Thank you a lot, I really enjoy your products!

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it.
We actually looked into it and there are big technical problems for both suggestions which prevent us from realizing them.
Dear Thomas and friends of
Dear Thomas and friends of the forum;
I have a different problem from all I read here. And I ask your help to solve it.
My steering wheel not work properly on x360, in the dashboard all moves to the left, as if the digital pad had pressed to the left.
In forza 3, the steering wheel is a beauty, but the gears do not work. The Hshift never enters the right gear. If I unplug the Hshift the gear always comes to the position R, it must be something related to that symptom of DPAD (Seems pressed to the left).
To Solve the problems, I've tried ..
1-Power the X360 first then the steering wheel .. fail
2-Calibrate the Hshift on mode x360 ... fail
3-Calibrating Hshift on the PC ... Success
4-Test the steering wheel on the screen of the driver and play a game on PC .. Success
5 - Update the firmware to 669... success, everything working.
6 - Test in forza 3 if the firmware solved my problem ... fail same symptoms.
I do not know what to do, tested in 2 x360, and the same symptom,
I tested on the x360"s Need for Speedy shift, same symptom.
On PC everything goes well, the pedals (clubsport pedal) work vey well on PC and on X360, only the gears are going wrong and changing incessantly
Please help me , I can provide a video of all this, if needed, thanks!!!
Thank you!!! Update went
Thank you!!!
Update went fine. Too bad i can not test improvements in drift mode in GT5 academy demo as the demo has expired.
Hi Thomas nice to see
Hi Thomas nice to see another firmware update.
Does this firmware fix the FFB dropouts on the PS3 with FFB set above 60% ?
It could improve it in the
It could improve it in the beginning of a driving session as it improves cooling. But if you have dropouts you just have to reduce the FF. The alternative would be that we limit the FF in general to the level of our competitors but this would not be apreciated I guess.

Thomas,
Would it be possible to offer an option for that in future firmware versions? (lower drive to the engine, lower base resistance without drift mode, lower heat)
That would complete the wheel and boost it from great to awesome, plus the more choises we have the better, it wouldnt have to be one or another, we would be able to choose by application/car/whatever and it would be brilliant :)
Keep up the good work!
