NEW: Tuning Kit for Clubsport Pedals

We finally have the new Tuning kit for the Clubsport Pedals available. It will be shipped in the US next week and short after in Europe.

It is a massive pack of helpful parts to tweak and finetune your CSP and it comes with all of these parts:

  • Brake/Clutch pedal plate (to replace the gas pedal for increased
    adjustability or inversed pedals)
  • Spring for gas pedal (regular)
  • Spring for gas pedal (30% weaker)
  • Spring for gas pedal (30% stronger)
  • Spring for clutch pedal (regular)
  • Spring for clutch pedal (30% weaker)
  • Spring for clutch pedal (30% stronger)
  • PU Foam for brake (regular)
  • PU Foam for brake – smaller diameter (for
    reduced friction)
  •  Metal bar short for brake (Good for
placing the pedal in the second hole position for higher stiffness at same
    throw)
  • Metal bar long for brake (reduce throw at
    same stiffness)
  • 6 pedal axis bearings made of brass (on the picture you see the current plastic bearings)
  • Lubricant for PU foam
  • Lubricant for metal bars

You can order it right away for 49,95 USD (USA) and 45,95€ (EU).

I will make a video how to use it.

Where do you order this ?

It's NOT on the Fanatec website

When this is available? I made a order about RS+CSP and this but it wasn't included in that delivery or at least so I understand emailed delivery-info.

They send it later then or what?

I think the video will be ready in time for Duke Nukem Forever and Gran Turismo 5.

Feel this is about as useful

Feel this is about as useful as tossing a note in a bottle in the ocean... Has Thomas ever posted a reply?

The "rotary switch", actually a potentiometer has no effect until full CW. Before that there is no brake response until the final couple of mm. Is this the expected behavior?

Also the small servo motor, alleged to indicate ABS on the brake pedal does not come on at all. Is this another case of a defective Fanatec product?

I have read that brake's

I have read that brake's vibration motor only works with rFactor (you have to use a plugin) and maybe with FM3 too(not sure about that). So if you are playing some other PC sim rather than rfactor, it is not supposed to work.

If you're using Porsche wheel gaming controllers applications, you can try there if the vibration motor works or not. If it works there, then it's not defective. (I don't know whether you have tried that or not)

The small ABS servo motor

The small ABS servo motor only works if you have set the ABS on 100% or less on the wheel.

Also required the wires to

Also required the wires to be connected to the PC board. Wires to plug are broken at the plug, common for fragile wires without any stress relief. Not sure how this can be fixed. If I can locate the male plug I and terminating pins it is an easy fix, along with some silicon to support wires.

Poteniometer seems to be the incorrect ohms for the Forza simulater.

What???
How can a program have problems with the potentiometer on a pedal set that is meant to change the resistance of the pedal???

Your going to have to

Your going to have to explain yourself better than that because at the moment you are making no sense.

Recieved the pedal tuning

Recieved the pedal tuning parts - not a single word of what the heck the pieces are or how to use them! Don't need a video, how about something to explain what I just paid for and what to do with them.

What gives with Fanatec?

What pedals do you have??!!

What pedals do you have??!! Because it is pretty self explanatory where the different pieces go.

Ahhh, the old intuitively

Ahhh, the old intuitively obvious argument. I defy one to determine what the brake bars and PU cylinders are for without Thomas's comments. Including Thomas' comments would go a long way. It isn't intuitively obvious that this is the support site...

Why not look at the video

Why not look at the video below I posted for you, shows you evetything you need to know. Something tells me you don't want any help and want to troll this place.

Lot of chatter but no help.

Lot of chatter but no help. The video shows how to disassemble the CSP and the poteniometer adjusting a brake slider on a PC. If you don't know what a pot is then you don't need to comment.

Using CSP in FM3, with abs at something less than 100%. Problem with servo motor is the wires connecting the servo to the pc board were broken in transit. Very fine wires with no stress relief. I can repair if I can get replacement pins or the complete servo-motor with wires.

The brakes only "work" with the pot turned full CW, there is no "adjustment" and clearly, the variable resistor doesn't effect the mechanical resistance of the pedals, only the programing calibration. Those that don't understand this comment should just keep quiet, or perhaps get a EE degree if they are interested, I have several, btw...

Also there is a design flaw or implementation flaw in the tuning kit. Used the shorter bar to move brake pivot point up to the second hole, as indicated in the first of this note. The result is that spring is marginally to long, when depressed the coils collapse until they meet, the brake is a maximum of 30% in FM3 at that point, if depressed further with a LOT of pressure, the coils distort and shift and the pedal quickly moves further to 100% - instantly locking up the brakes. Try it yourself, Thomas.

Again, lot of chatter from the peanut gallery but not much from the "support" that I can tell.

And, after spending some $550, I would like to have a functional system. I certainly have better things to do than "troll" or make useless comments about things I know nothing about. The kiddies need to take a break and leave support to support, if it exists.

Does it not include the text

Does it not include the text on the foam as in the picture above?

This video should help you http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=3115&lang=en

Thomas, I realise you cannot

Thomas,
I realise you cannot release details of the proposed CS shifter, but do you anticipate mounting onto the existing two bars from the side of the wheel?
The reason I ask is that I am about to manufacture my own end support for these mounting bars and want to know if I will be wasting my time and effort.

any chance on a clubsport shifter thomas ??

I am looking at the drawing

I am looking at the drawing of the CS shifter now and you will love it :)

YES! I can't wait Thomas :)

YES! I can't wait Thomas :) I already have the CSP and a CS shifter will complete my Fanatec rig :) sweet!

I hope the CS shifter will

I hope the CS shifter will be quiet, quick, accurate and able to mount to my RSWS shifter mount?

Argh. I'll be sending more

Argh. I'll be sending more money to Fanatec's bank account soon then :o)

cant wait thomas... can you

cant wait thomas...
can you give us some hints on what and when :)
my main 'asks' be : quieter, mounting and combine sequential and H pattern functions

good news I think I'm not

good news I think I'm not the only one who will like it,could you perhaps elaborate on a possible arrival date ??
(can not blame you if you say no :)

Thomas, when will the video

Thomas, when will the video be ready? My Clubsport pedals have shipped and will be here anyday now. Do the brass bearings make a noticeable difference?

I'm also waiting for the

I'm also waiting for the video. Tracking says I should get the tuning kit tomorrow, and I look forward to installing the metal bushings: My pedals have developed a bit of wobble to them which will hopefully be fixed by the better bushings.

Hi Thomas, I just used your

Hi Thomas, I just used your generous offer of $50 off and ordered the Clubsport pedals. I'll wait and try them out as they come before I decide upon this tuning kit. Looking forward to retiring my venerable G25 pedals.

Any chance of a clutch kit to simulate the feel of a real clutch like the plastic pedals have?

Im waiting for this,

Im waiting for this, specialy the alternatives foam and metal bar, a great way to spend my 50$ coupon... Thanks !!!

Hi Thomas, I tried that but

Hi Thomas, I tried that but then it was too short and too hard to press down :) but after a couple of days the longer throw is not such a big problem anymore :) still gonna order that kit, nice to have spare parts :)
