NEW: ClubSport Shifter Paddles Aluminum and Carbon upgrade option

Some of you already noticed that we are recommending to get those products as upgrade so here is the official announcement.

We now have two new products listed in the webshop and available for immediate delivery:

  • Clubsport Paddle Shifter (aluminum) [19,95 USD / EUR]
  • ClubSport Paddle Shifter Carbon [39,95 USD/EUR]

Both products are an ideal upgrade for the following wheels:

  • Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel
  • Porsche 911 GT3RS wheel (V1)
  • Porsche 911 Carrera wheel

It s not possible to upgrade the old 911 Turbo wheels.

It is very easy to install them as you just need a screwdriver.

I am still waiting to get more pictures but here you can see those paddles from the backside:

I agreed about the crazy

I agreed about the crazy shipping cost to Canada. I too want a set of CF paddles but can't justify the shipping cost for such a small item. Hope Thomas and his crew can get it readjusted soon.

Look great, works fine ! Thx

Look great, works fine !
Thx Thomas.

I got my aluminum paddles

I got my aluminum paddles for the Turbo S wheel yesterday and had some fun with them today. They work great and I like the position of the paddles now with the spacers. It makes the wheel feel more realistic. Thanks for another great product.

I got the aluminium shifter

I got the aluminium shifter paddles today, but I am having trouble shifting gears with them. I thought I could shift by just pullig the top of the paddle, but that doesn't work.
Especially the downshift won't register unless I pull the paddle in the middle, this pretty much makes these paddles useless :(.
I had to mount the old ones back on.

I got the PWTS wheel, are

I got the PWTS wheel, are the shifter button enforced on this?
As I mentioned it is the left button that requires a hard pull in order to shift.
Is there something I can do in order to make that button more sensitive?

I have the PWTS also, and

I have the PWTS also, and just got my carbon paddles. I can pull the paddle at any place; the very top, bottom, or middle, and I get a flawless shift even with one finger. Sorry you are having trouble MacBain.

Thanks again Thomas, I really like these carbon paddles. So much better than the ones that came with the wheel. Makes the wheel look trick as well!

There is nothing you can do.

There is nothing you can do. Of course you can return them if you are not satisfied.

This can happen especially

This can happen especially on the PWGT3RS (V1).

In V2 we enforced the shifter paddle buttons so this will no longer be an issue. Therefore I would recommend to upgrade to V2 with the upgrade kit which includes the new CS shifter paddle.

It is normal that you have

It is normal that you have to pull in the middle. The paddle shifters on the fanatec wheels are stiff and they need some power. I personally like that more, so i am really sure that i shifted right.

Paddle shifters are also called flappy paddle shifters, because in some cars they are moving too easy and it result in misshifts.

You have to get used to it and you will get into it soon.

Good morning. I just looked

Good morning. I just looked in the web store and could not find the upgrade paddles. Help.
I want to buy a set.

Just ordered the carbon

Just ordered the carbon ones. They look so nice. Good Job Thomas!

That $50 coupon code finally came in handy today. Ordered the shifter adapter for the wheel stand as well, but the H shifter probably won't be getting much use with those carbon paddles attached :)

Ordered the Carbon Fibre

Ordered the Carbon Fibre ones on Monday, they arrived today. Fitted and tried them on GT5P. Absolutely amazing. Feel so much better. There's more room between the wheel and the shifters now and the size and ergonomics is spot on. They look fantastic too. If your in doubt but are thinking about buying them, then just get them. You won't regret it.

Just got the Carbon Fibre

Just got the Carbon Fibre shifters and they are a thousand times better then the poor standard ones.
2 spacers are provided to move the shifters away from the wheel and this gives a much more natural feel and your fingers can either rest on them or the steering wheel (without obstruction).
I've never drove a real car with these kind of paddle shifters so can't possibly comment on how real it feels, but the gear selection is prominent and inspires confidence.
There is a minor problem though, the edges on the CF paddles are pretty rough and they gave me a little paper cut on my finger (I didn't cry!). I smoothed them down easily enough using some Emery cloth, but they should really be produced smooth. I doubt this is a problem with the other material.

All in all though, a nice product, and if the cost of the postage ever gets real, a must buy.

Thanks for the review. That

Thanks for the review. That sounds very promising! I think that i will order them soon.

Btw the cut with the rough paddles isnt a manufacture failure, its just german engineering, sharper than a diamond.

The new paddle-shifter are

The new paddle-shifter are looking great. But i am a bit concerned of the feel of the paddles.

Do they have more movement than the standard ones?

The new paddles add some leverage, but they don't change the movement of the shift "buttons" themselves.

Sean

Twice as much as aluninum!?

Twice as much as aluninum!? Wow carbon fibre really is expensive!

Very nice, looks like they

Very nice, looks like they will defiently make using the paddels way easier and fun. Think i will have to buy the carbon ones

Hi, Is one of those paddles

Hi,

Is one of those paddles included in the upgrade kit GT3RS V1=>V2 ?
It appears to be listed in the change list...

Thanks!

The aluminium shifter

The aluminium shifter paddles are included in the upgrade kit

Perfect :) !

Perfect :) !

Are (micro-?)switches in

Are (micro-?)switches in wheel strong enough to withstand increased forces with these paddles?

ReDi's picture

The original ClubSport

The original ClubSport paddles were even longer, so the force on the switch larger than with these and that wasn't a problem for the electronics/switches.

Lookin' good, Thomas!

Nice seeing my pictures up there. Loving the new CF versions. I'll definitely be picking up a pair.

;)

Great upgrade! My question

Great upgrade!

My question is: does the aluminium ones have the look like the third picture ?
I mean : Are those shifter very longer than stock ones (plastic) or this dimension is only for carbon ones ?

Thx,
Eric.

The dimension of the

The dimension of the aluminum and carbon shifter paddles are identical.

Looks nice thomas! How do

Looks nice thomas! How do they feel compared to the ones I got with my PWTS:UE? Are they the same distance from my wheel rim?

you can see the distance on

you can see the distance on the 3rd picture. They are really different of what you have.

They look really cool! I bet

They look really cool! I bet with them further back I wouldn't do the occasional miss-shift when trying to furiously correct a slide.

Shipping is a bit much though for the US. I think I'll wait till something more substantial comes out, like the clubsport shifter.
