GT2 self calibration issue

After the wheel goes through its self calibration process after powering on the wheel actually settles to the left of centre and not actually centre.

I sent an email to e-support@fanatec.com but haven't received any response yet and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and whether or not there is a fix.

I tried putting it into xbox

I tried putting it into xbox mode after calibration like you said savoury but unfortunately it didn't move one inch.

I also tried the instructions outlined in the online manual but that didn't change anything either

Is it driving in a straight

Is it driving in a straight line while in game when centered?

if i don't touch the wheel

if i don't touch the wheel after the self-calibrarion and press the accellerator whilst on the grid line then the car starts to veer to the left Savoury.

That could just be torque

That could just be torque steer from the drive train! Did you definitely have the wheel in PC mode and not just Stand-By (I have made that error myself) when you recalibrated? To make sure the recalibration is working try deliberately off centreing the wheel to the right and see if that config is stored as the center point when you release the 3 buttons.

yeah i definitely made sure

yeah i definitely made sure it was in PC mode (pressed the back button until the lights went out) and set if off to the right before pressing the buttons but it still offsets to the left after calibration mate.

Can you bring up telemetry

Can you bring up telemetry with the game you are playing to see what angle is shown on screen with the wheel at it's centre or test with the PC driver utility? I had to set the calibration a few times for it to change on board the wheel, it may be worth a wheel reset (press & hold the Reset button for 10 secs until 'rst' appears & give the wheel a reboot for good measure.

A stupid question but how do

A stupid question but how do you do a wheel reset and a reboot Savoury as i tried to find out how in the manual but without success

Press and hold the Reset

Press and hold the Reset button for 10 secs until 'rst' appears on the tuning screen (that's the wheel reset) then just switch it off and on again ;O)

is the reset button the same

is the reset button the same as the tuning button then mate

I meant to say Tuning button

I meant to say Tuning button but it's Friday night and Mistress Stella is by my side!

Thank you so much for all

Thank you so much for all your help Savoury. That last tip seems to have done the trick :).

It definately works on the xbox mode. Havent tried it on the PC mode yet but hopefully it will be fine as well.

Glad we got you sorted, if

Glad we got you sorted, if the wheel is calibrated OK then it should work fine in all modes.

The wheel does finish it's

The wheel does finish it's calibration just to the left of centre and is perfectly normal. To test if the wheel is properly calibrated put it into Xbox mode and it should gently return to dead centre. If the wheel is not properly centred then simply recalibrate as described in your manual.
