Introducing the new ClubSport Pedals V2

We thought about how to make something good even better and came up with the evolution of a legend. The ClubSport Pedals V2.

The ClubSport Pedal was the first of our ClubSport product line which represent these values:

  • All metal construction
  • High-End technology
  • Outstanding industrial design
  • Unbeatable price performance

As you all know there will be more ClubSport products coming up and they all have to match the level of the CSPs.

The new V2 version is rather an evolutiona than a complete new design because sometimes it is better not to change too much. Here are the new features:

1. Look
The pedals now come in anodized black and polished aluminum parts which gives it a more exclusive and classy touch. Of course the colour kits are fully compatible so you can change the look to all black or combine it with grey, orange red or blue.

2. Hydraulic brake
We have added an oil damper to the load cell brake to give it a more realistic and dampenend feeling. The feeling can be adjusted by replacing the silicone oil and use different viscosity and by changing the spring tension on the damper. It is simple but very effective. We also made the load cell brake stiffer and with a shorter travel by default.

3. Degressive clutch mechanism
Our Japanese friend Teki Ei-Ichi developed a new mechanism for the clutch for us. It gives you a degressive feel just like in a real car. Of course you can still adjust the spring strength.

There is no Tuning Kit up to now but we will have a kit coming up later. We thought about an upgrade kit as well but there are too many parts to replace so it would be quite expensive and it would be very complicated to install. The CSP achieve good prices at eBay so we doubt that it would be worth to offer such a kit as V1 owners would not save much money but have the hassle of installation and end up with a product with the old look and used parts. Therefore we decided not to offer such an upgrade kit and I hope you agree.

The CSP V2 will be shipped together with the ClubSport Wheel and we expect the first shipment in USA, EU and AUS in June. We will start taking pre-orders from our new website in May.

Price: 249,95 € (incl VAT) in EU and 249,95 USD (excl sales tax) in USA. Australian prices still need to be determined.

Thanks to Amar for the great pictures and to Björn who made the spectacular video.

I agree completely regarding

I agree completely regarding the "no upgrade kit".

I think it would be pretty straight forward to make one and install it. Imho it's just a marketing strategy to try and sell more complete kits.

I still have to buy a pedal set, but need it sooner than june (if it even arrives on time) and with v1 am at the edge of my current budget so i will go with V1.

I would love to upgrade in a later stage as will a lot of people I reckon. But I won't sell my v1 and go v2 for sure!

+1 I too would like the new

+1
I too would like the new CSP v2 but I just can't justify it to myself.
I would have liked to see an upgrade kit, how about just for the brake?

Work Hard. Race Harder.

Work Hard. Race Harder. Thomas will the Clubsport Handbrake work w/ the old V1 CSPS?

look at your board of CSP V1

look at your board of CSP V1 if this already has a pin for hand brake ;-)

Work Hard. Race Harder. Thanks Savoury for confirming.,, cuz since I just got my setup..
I was somewhat upset to see the new pedals already and then to hear that the CSP V1s may not work with the handbrake!

If you just got your pedals

If you just got your pedals from Fanatec, they will definitely have handbrake socket. Only CSPs with V1 electronics board doesn't have it. It probably concerns very first one or two batches dating about 3 years back.

yes it will

yes it will

To bad they cant be easily

To bad they cant be easily inverted without a custom install upside down in a rig. I would have loved to invert all but the throttle.

I have a BRD Speed 7 pedals invert mounted from many years back in an old home built aluminium rig, this does give the most realistic experience.

That said if this is the best we can get now and for this money (1/3 of equal quality pedals from competitors of which there are extremely few) I think I'll order a pair of CSP V'2 to replace my V1's!

Id love to get my feet on that hydraulic brake and degressive clutch!

Expensive, my CSP pedals

Expensive, my CSP pedals were only $149. Is there a $100 worth of difference?

That's hard as the total

That's hard as the total tech behind both are essentially identical. What should really be focused on here is the dampening on the brake and the clutch resistance let off. Both of those are for feel and immersion. I wouldn't look at either giving you faster times or the like. I personally would love it for the clutch. I love my current V1's so the brake mod is secondary to my interest.

Finally, we will get a new website as well :)

More great work by Thomas

More great work by Thomas and his team at Fanatec!

How about selling the

How about selling the upgrade parts to update my old Club Sport Pedal's?

From Thomas's post

From Thomas's post above:

"We thought about an upgrade kit as well but there are too many parts to replace so it would be quite expensive and it would be very complicated to install. "

I still disagree with this because Fanatec already offered an upgrade kit for the gt3rs. This looks far...far... far... less complicated. If you can get us some spare parts at cost like before I would much rather do that than go through the hassle of Ebay.

Also keep in mind those of us with the first gen clubsports don't even have a connector for the handbrake, just solder points.

Work Hard. Race Harder. I

Work Hard. Race Harder. I thought Thomas said that the CSPs would work with the Handbrake?

they will on the csp's and

they will on the csp's and csr elite pedals they's a connector on the circuit board which says handbrake

The older csp's don't have

The older csp's don't have that connector.

Does the degressive clutch

Does the degressive clutch mechanism prevent from inverting the pedals as we were able to do with the v1 ?

This is great stuff Thomas,

This is great stuff Thomas, I would order it now if I could. Time to donate the pedals to my brother, he's doing very well out of me!

I really want to buy the

I really want to buy the CSP2 and CSW, but i live in Brazil.
Do you have some way to send a pre-order to Brazil? I'm saving money since December to be a earlier owner of this amazing wheel.

Work Hard. Race Harder. Any

Work Hard. Race Harder. Any way we can trade our Clubsports V1 for a V2? I just bought a CSR ELITE, CSR Shifter, and CSPS V1 just recently and now am slightly sad and mad that the new version came out. Any way we can work something out?

Thomas please take my money!

I will say at least Thomas

I will say at least Thomas listens to his customers I emailed Endor last year with photos for the quick release system and suggested a hydraulic style brake and here they are thanks a bunch Thomas.

is it the same price as last

is it the same price as last year model????

Why not modular like CSR

Why not modular like CSR Elite pedals?

Birddogg66's picture

I have seen people be

I have seen people be creative and found ways to invert them by mounting them upside down and on an angle. May be the overall design does not warrant it like the CSR elite
